Executive Director's Report

Name Change. We got our DBA for The Human Potential Center renewed, which it has to be every 10 years. In the process, Bob found out that the name "The Human Potential Center" is available at the state level, so he asked the Nonprofit Center to help us change our corporate name from the Humanistic Training Institute to The Human Potential Center. He hopes to go downtown on Monday to get it changed and legal.

AHP. Bob has reduced his responsibilities with AHP, and is going to the board meeting in L.A. on the 21st.

Volunteers. Volunteers are doing really well. We have a few that have been coming in and helping. Chris Jamison in particular is doing excellently. Stephanie Compton came in to help as an executive assistant and hopes to focus on the calendar. Kinga Piekos is continuing to work with Goodwheelchairs.org. She has already redone the brochure and hopes to do more. Christine Rose has been revising Bob's communication book to be able to get it on Kindle and printed on-demand. She has made a really nice new cover.

Finances. Because the car was having trouble, we sold the car for $650, which was a pretty good price to get.

Electricians have finished most of the repairs and only have a few things left to fix. We paid them $5000 and still owe them $600. So we will pay them off with payments. Need to change the wire to the subpanels in the office and the art barn sometime in the future, which will cost about $3000.

We have regular renters, which is great, and Personal Growth Sessions are doing well. Our next income from Bingo comes in around July 25th. We sold a $625 child's stroller a few days ago. In general, we're doing about the same right now as we usually do, except for one really good Personal Growth Session client, who has donated about $5K and has spent several thousand dollars on sessions. We need more clients like that!

Mortgage. Penny found a few banks that are more ethical with more healthy banking practices, and so she's going to research getting our mortgage refinanced there.

Since there was no further business, the meeting adjourned at around 3 pm.
