Regular Meeting -- July 14, 2024
The Board of Directors held its regular monthly meeting at 2007 Bert Avenue, Austin, TX, 78704, starting at 2:30 pm in person and via Zoom. The following directors (constituting a quorum of the full board) were present at the meeting by Zoom: President Kathy Lee, Vice President Kim Pillsbury, Secretary John McGarey. Executive Director Robert McGarey was also present at the meeting.
The Mission Statement was read aloud at the beginning of the meeting. Minutes from the previous meeting were read aloud and approved as read.
Bob's Health. After this last year with the squatter and working with his Mom helping her with her new book, Bob says he needs to recharge. So he is prioritizing his health and as such is planning to take 1week vacations every quarter or so for peace of mind.
finances. We have roughly $5k in the repairs acct and $1.7k in the mortgage account (equivalent to one mortgage payment) and we have been getting $5k per quarter from bingo. We are hoping for that or more in the coming quarter. Our main (non-bingo) account is tight right now, but rent and other deposits are coming in, so we are staying afloat. However, the main account balance is deceptive, because Bob loaned the Center $3,000 personally and we haven't paid him back yet. Additionally, Kim and Sammm have balanced the bank statements up to November. So we are making progress.
Lia Nelson Creativity Cove. Justyna might want to rent the art barn for a time. Bob paid Chris Grigassy to clean up the art barn by taking trash and other unnecessary items out to the curb so they can be collected on Large Trash Day, which is coming up this week.
Since there was no further business, the meeting adjourned at around 3;:21 pm.
